GO TO SLEEP

Genre: drama, true story

Format: short film

Screenplay: 30 pages

A young journalist finds herself in a moral dilemma after a taxi driver confesses a crime to her. She looks for solace and guidance on her brother just to find out that him and the criminal are not so different after all.

Beyond a crime case, the plot is a portrait of the various nuances within macho culture and how it reflects on everyone’s lives. Not only women’s, but even the men subjected to the rules of the game, where players have very little agency on their roles, as well as no flexibility to define them. In this game there are no winners. Everyone loses. Sometimes more than the reason but even worse their character.

*There is no right time for a story to find you. It can happen on a Tuesday. At 1 am. You don’t always know what to do with them, but if 14 years later they still haven’t left your mind… they mean something.
