THE SOCIETY OF XX

Genre: dystopian, drama, sci-fi

Format: Feature film

In a dystopian future, a group of women have established a parallel, self-sufficient society that excels in scientific advancements. In this society, the presence of male humans is strictly forbidden. One of their achievements they have made is the ability to procreate without the need for males, while also being able to control the gender of their offspring.

After decades of successfully maintaining this societal structure, an unexpected event occurs when a woman mistakenly gives birth to a boy instead of a girl. This rare medical error brings to light the deficiencies in their societal concept and forces them to confront questions they had been avoiding so far.

The story delves into the extremes of gender polarization and challenges the notion of gender validation. In this surreal backdrop, we witness the sacrifices made to prevent unfavorable outcomes, highlighting the fact that there is no absolute good or bad, but rather the complex nature of humanity itself.

*I see stories everywhere. It's like a condition…

There are stories that end up as simple short tales. Happy to live on paper. Many others, the ambitious ones, want to make it in Hollywood. I don’t blame them. Here you have the synopsis of one of my screenplays. Send me a message at hejmalu AT gmail.com if you are interested in reading it.
